Ylva, a horned she-wolf Vanir Faerslur, comes across as cold initially, but it didn't take long for her to begin to enjoy Masimba's presence and vice versa. Only recently did Masimba start to develop a crush on her, and he was afraid to be more open to himself about these budding feelings. Eventually he confessed his feelings and she reciprocated them, the two starting a new romance.

Tafrara and Masimba didn't start off on the right paw after they met. The fennec fox Dainne believed that Masimba was part of the group of brown hyenas that killed her birth family and lashed out at him. After a few big fights reinforcing his fear of women, Masimba has decided that it's best to avoid her for a while. She approached him after a while, and they managed to agree to work towards becoming friends.

Ellie, a young red wolf Huskarl, and Masimba quickly became close to each other, with her viewing him as a big brother. She loves play pranks on him and play fight with him, though she has yet to win a brawl with the big hyena. When upset, the young she wolf comes to him for emotional support, and Masimba gladly provides that for her.

Siria, a young akita uni, dire wolf and northwestern wolf mix Berserker, has known Masimba from birth, as he helped deliver her. The yearling relies on Masimba for medical help due to her worsening schizophrenia symptoms. Normally bubbly and happy, her hallucinations have made her overly anxious and paranoid. With treatment only beginning, Masimba believes that Siria's mental condition improves with time, medicine and therapy.

Dion, a male brown hyena Finna Smioa, is enthusiastic, always ready to help, and skilled, making him Masimba's good friend and go-to craftsman. Masimba always make sure to pay Dion with medical supplies in return. He fell for Masimba, but was deeply hurt after witnessing his crush confess his love for Ylva. Masimba feels terrible for this, and worked to remain friends with Dion. The negative emotionals have smoothed over between them, and they see each other as best friends. Dion also seems to have taken a liking to Masmba's first child, Nyoka.

Aeslyn, a young female fox Berserker, is a bright enthusiastic soul, but at times finds her job overwhelming. After a particularly bad mission, Masimba understood her struggle and reassured her that it was okay to feel overwhelmed, boosting Aeslyn's confidence in her own abilities as a Berserker. Masimba feels a kind of kinship with her, as in his old cackle, he was an assassin and warrior just like she is now.

Hope, a grey wolf Berserker, is often times closed off and in an ill mood. Recently though, Masimba has become one of the very few that Hope considers to be a friend after he witnessed a paralyzing panic attack triggered by her hydrophobia and helped her through it. Masimba has committed to providing her calming medications and giving her counseling when needed. After the destruction of the last Fehu Stone, Hope lashed out at him in frustration, causing him to suffer a terrible flashback to life in his cackle. Unfortunately for their friendship, Masimba is now very uneasy around her.

Personality: Miracle Berry seems to enjoy poking plenty of fun at her brown hyena companion, often riding on his horns and waiting for something good to laugh at. She's sharp tongued and blunt, rarely restraining what she says even it offends others.

Medicine Bag

Materials
Sitatunga leather, Chapungu (Bateleur eagle) tail feathers, Soapstone beads, gemsbok horn

Masimba's most prized possessions, this bag is both a vital tool for his job and the only connection to his homeland he has left. Masimba always carries the bag in case of emergencies and for foraging supplies. The eagle feathers are from the sacred Chapungu, spirit messengers between mortals and gods of Masimba's homeland. The soapstone beads are from a mysterious, ancient structure guarded by stone eagles. The symbol is the Nyansapo (wisdom knot) adinkra symbol of wisdom, ingenuity, intelligence and patience.

Waterskin

Materials
Leather, cork, Great Blue Turaco feathers

This is Masimba's go-to tool to clean out wounds, and always carries fresh water around with his medicine bag. Dion crafted this waterskin at his request, and was paid with a first aid kit. The craftsman included the Nyansapo symbol that was on Masimba's medicine bag out of respect for Masimba's culture, something the Vanir Laeknir greatly appreciated. The Great Blue Turaco is a bird from Masimba's homelands, and he provided its feathers to add to the waterskin.

Friendship Necklace

Dion crafted this necklace for Masimba after falling in love with him. However it became a source of heartbreak after Dion witnessed Masimba confessing to Ylva. While Masimba doesn't romantically love Dion, he loves him still as a friend and is reluctant to get rid of it. After some time, Dion and Masimba were able to talk through their feelings and now both see this as a symbol of their healing friendship.

Winter Poncho

Nyoka, his daughter, crafted this winter poncho for both Masimba and her mother Ylva after witnessing both her parents have trouble in the cold of Myrkur. Masimba is incredibly proud of his daughter's skill, and couldn't hold back tears when she presented him with the carefully and lovingly made poncho.

Ylva discovered after coming to Tafrara and Masimba for help that she is pregnant with Masimba's cub. Both she and Masimba are incredibly excited, and are making plans together. They are intent on making life for their cub as loving and warm as possible and teaching them not to repeat their parents' mistakes. The pregnancy thankfully was not a difficult one.

Nyoka Zuva is the first-born of Masimba and his mate, Ylva. Nyoka means "Snake" in Shona, and Zuva means "Sunlight" in Shona as well The young, 2 month old hybrid is very, very curious to a fault and is very easy to spook, regularly hiding behind her parents but much is stil yet to be discovered about her personality. Nyoka lives to create rather than fight. Dion has given her a blue feather earring, an accessory she truly loves.
